The Lead Machine Builder is responsible for building and troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, hardware and equipment with quality and timely focus in order to build special-purpose machinery, robotic work cells and factory automation projects.

Essential job functions include:

             Assume a lead role in building automated equipment and act as back-up for the manager

             Plan and coordinate work required to assemble systems and sub-assemblies

             Perform machine build integration support and installation tasks

             Perform setup and alignment of the system and subassemblies.

Repair and/or replace defective components of the system as required

             Work with the project team to provide the customer with a complete and functional system

             Participate in tear down and shipping of equipment

             Represent CAID Automation and act as an ambassador at the customer's site

             Reassemble equipment at delivery site to gain customer buy-off

             Provide customer training when required

             Travel to customers sites as required for installation and reintegration of systems

             Mentor and train Mechanical Technicians to assemble and build efficiently and accurately

Qualifications include

             Certificate in Machine Building, Machinist or Maintenance Technician

             Completed apprenticeship or 5 years of hands on machine assembly

             Troubleshooting and maintenance experience

             Ability and experience working in a team environment
